Extensions

When the platform itself has to do more

A payload gives the platform a job. An extension gives it a capability — more endurance, more pulling power, more range. It is mounted not on the load plate but on the vehicle itself.

The distinction is not hair-splitting but a procurement question. A payload is changed when the job changes — thermal camera today, water monitor tomorrow. An extension usually stays on the vehicle, because it defines that vehicle’s profile: a platform with a generator is bought for long deployments, one with a winch for recovery work.

The two do not rule each other out. A platform with a winch can still carry a payload — the load plate stays free, because the extension sits elsewhere.

Overview

Extensions in the range

These are the extensions we fit to the vehicle. Which combination suits your deployment profile, we settle against the actual project.

On request

Generator extension

Generator built around a Hatz engine, as a range extender. It recharges the traction battery during operation and makes the platform independent of charging infrastructure — decisive on deployments running over several shifts or far from made-up roads.

Field of use: long deployments, situations without a mains connection
On request

Winch extension

Pulling winch for recovery and self-recovery. It drags loads out of a hazard zone without anyone having to enter it, and pulls the platform itself back out of soft ground or a hollow.

Field of use: recovery, self-recovery, rough terrain
On request

Sensor box extension

Enclosed sensor unit on the vehicle for perception of the surroundings, obstacle detection and vehicle telemetry. It belongs to the platform, not to the mission — so perception stays the same whichever payload happens to be fitted.

Field of use: autonomous driving, driving on camera
On request

Lighting extension

Driving and work lights on the vehicle. They illuminate the path and the working area, whether or not a payload with its own lighting is fitted.

Field of use: night and darkness, smoke-filled areas
